The Futures Bright Project was a five year, $80 million, Capital Improvement program for Driscoll Children’s Hospital that started in 2015. John Hyde played an indispensable role in assisting me as the Fundraising Chair for the Medical Staff. His experience in other fundraising initiatives was evident as he pointed out to our donors the value of private benefaction to Driscoll. His assistance to me was also invaluable in the procurement of a major gift from the Coastal Children’s Clinic where I was practicing pediatrics. The goal for the entire project, the first-ever capital campaign, was $16 million. We raised $17 million!

John Hyde is a man of utmost integrity, he is a perpetual reflection of the love and kindness of Christ. “I had been raising money for many years, both as a volunteer and professionally, when John joined my team at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas. As the director of major giving, John taught me everything I know about building authentic relationships - and putting in place the processes that lead to the significant investment of individuals and foundations through philanthropy.”
